What Ward 4 Deserves
Real progress is already underway. Courtney will make sure Ward 4 sees it through.
Stouffville has already secured $470,000 in provincial funding for traffic calming — permanent speed humps and radar signs are coming this fall. Courtney will make sure Ward 4 sees this work through completely, and that data drives decisions about where additional measures are needed next.
My ask: Full implementation of approved measures, data-driven expansion to remaining school zones and cut-through routes, and continued advocacy for effective enforcement tools.
🚸Road Safety
Growth is exciting. But new homes need new services, infrastructure, and green space to match.
Ward 4 is growing fast, and that's worth celebrating. But new homes without new services, infrastructure, and green space isn't progress. Council has laid important groundwork, including plans for a major Leisure Centre expansion. Courtney's commitment is to make sure every new development comes with a real plan for the community, and the environment, that surrounds it.
My ask: Infrastructure, service capacity, and green infrastructure assessed as conditions of every new development approval, so Ward 4 grows well, not just fast.
🏗️Growth Done Well
Ward 4 should be within reach for everyone; today's residents and tomorrow's.
The cost of living in Ward 4 is rising. Courtney wants to make sure this community remains within reach for people at every stage of life, from seniors looking to downsize, to young families hoping their children can afford to stay. She'll champion practical solutions including missing-middle housing, Additional Residential Units, and Stouffville's own Community Improvement Plan.
My ask: Responsible development and thoughtful planning that keeps Ward 4 within reach, not just for those already here, but for the families and young people who want to stay.
🏠Affordability & Cost of Living
Better GO service isn't just about commuting, it's about connecting our community to opportunity.
As Stouffville grows, residents deserve transit that keeps pace. GO service improvements are coming, but currently focus south of Unionville. With a Markham councillor already championing integrated corridor planning, Stouffville needs to be part of that conversation.
My ask: Stouffville's active voice in regional transit planning, advocating for frequent, reliable GO service that serves our growing community.
🚆Transit & Connectivity
⚡Infrastructure & Tech Expansion
Data centres, power grids, and water supply; Ward 4 needs a voice at the regional table.
With 13 data centres in the pipeline across York Region, each consuming as much electricity as thousands of homes, our power grid and water supply may struggle to keep pace. A Richmond Hill councillor is already fighting for accountability. Ward 4 deserves a voice at that table.
My ask: Stouffville's active participation in regional conversations about data centre accountability, before residents feel the impact through outages, restrictions, or rising bills.
Ideas for a Stronger Ward 4
Beyond Courtney's platform, she carries a broader vision for what Ward 4 could be: ideas rooted in community, connection, and the belief that the best neighbourhoods are built by people who show up for each other.

One idea close to Courtney's heart: a program connecting children with retirement home residents for shared activities: arts and crafts, reading, gardening, games. Two generations with so much to offer each other, brought together in the community we share. This isn't a council initiative, it's a community one. And she'd love to help make it happen.

The Glad Park school community has been maintaining an aging playground largely through parent council fundraising. The parent council has been working hard to find a path forward, but the community deserves more than a patchwork solution. Courtney will advocate for a dedicated municipal park serving the Glad Park neighbourhood, a community space that belongs to everyone.

Ward 4 has a leash-free dog park on Rougeview Avenue, and for residents in the southern part of the ward, it works well. But for families living further north, it's close to an hour's walk away. As Ward 4 grows northward, it would be wonderful to see a second off-leash space, ideally situated near other ward boundaries to serve residents from multiple communities. With the Town's Parks Plan currently being developed, now is a great time to start that conversation.
